The modern logistics is not all about moving things far and wide, rather it is sheer efficiency in delivering services or products or manpower wherever it is wanted at the right time and withdrawing them the moment they no longer required. It is a much bigger canvass and business around the world that rides critically on such logistics planning alone. The importance of logistics is rising day by day. Thanks to advancing globalisation, declining trade barriers and accelerated growth of economies around.

Expansion In Plainfield, IN
Recently, OHL expanded operations in Plainfield, IN. This expansion created about 120 jobs in Hendricks County. Our very own Nathan Sanders is quoted:
“We are a multi-client campus environment, so our expansion is tied to our existing customers who are expanding product lines and launching new products,” says Sanders. “We also have some unannounced new business that will expand on our campus.”

As central region vice president, Chiarito will be responsible for the management of all operational, sales, profit/loss, budget and project roles for multiple stations, employees, freight forwarding and customs brokerage operations. The new international services station is operated by the Barthco division of OHL. The new office is a critical part of an overall expansion strategy and will offer a comprehensive range of U.S. Customs brokerage services, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Fish and Wildlife, and Hand-Carry Clearances.

It is a proud moment for me having been with this company for so long and having seen it in its relative infancy to see it appear in Fortune Magazine.
Now until July, grab yourself a copy of the May issue of Fortune which is the Fortune 500 Special Issue which focuses on America’s largest corporations. On page S14, you can find information on OH Logistics. The section included profiles of Tennessee’s largest corporations, and a first-time profile appearance by the global supply chain management company, OH Logistics.
A proud moment indeed.

We pride ourselves on providing flexible solutions for our clients, so we continue to look for ways to respond effectively to lead time requirements. Sometimes lead time requirements can be met by optimizing the clients’ network. Because of our multi-client campus distribution center environment and comprehensive transportation network, our clients are able to reconfigure their distribution network with OH Logistics to better serve their customers-and respond to shorter lead times.
Says Bob Spieth, president of contract logistics at OH in a recent article published in Food Logistics magazine and online entitled Coping With Today’s Warehousing Challenges when asked about responding to shorter lead times.
